Refund Policy

1. Nature of Our Services

Our services involve:

  • Strategic thinking and advisory
  • Intellectual property structuring
  • Rights guidance and pathway design
  • Manuscript and publishing development
  • Professional planning and documentation

These are intellectual and time-based services, not physical goods. Once professional time, planning, or advisory effort has been allocated, value has already been delivered.

2. Consultation & Advisory Sessions

All consultation, discovery, and advisory session fees are:

Non-refundable once the session has been booked.

This is because:

  • Professional time is reserved exclusively for the client
  • Strategic expertise is delivered during the session
  • Preparation may occur prior to the meeting

Rescheduling may be permitted with adequate notice (as defined in the session booking terms).

3. Project Deposits

Deposits for publishing pathways, advisory retainers, or structured services are non-refundable once any of the following has occurred:

  • Strategic planning has begun
  • Project documentation or structuring work has started
  • Intellectual property evaluation has been conducted
  • Resource allocation or scheduling has taken place

Deposits secure professional commitment and capacity, not just future deliverables.

4. Ongoing Service Fees & Payment Plans

Where services are delivered in stages or through payment plans:

  • Payments already made are non-refundable
  • Fees cover intellectual labor already provided, whether visible or behind-the-scenes
  • Missed payments may result in paused or terminated services
  • Restarting paused services may require new scheduling and fees
5. Client Withdrawal

If a client chooses to withdraw from a project after work has begun:

  • Fees already paid remain non-refundable
  • Work completed up to that point will be documented where appropriate
  • Legacy Bridge retains the right to invoice for work already performed beyond the deposit

Client withdrawal does not nullify professional time already invested.

6. Scope Changes

If a client changes direction, delays decisions, or alters the project scope:

  • Fees paid remain non-refundable
  • Additional work outside the original agreement may require new fees
  • Timeline extensions do not create refund eligibility
7. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered only in rare cases such as:

  • A proven administrative billing error
  • Failure by Legacy Bridge to deliver agreed services (as defined in a signed agreement)

Refund requests must be:

  • Submitted in writing
  • Made within 7 days of the issue
  • Supported with relevant documentation

Approval of refunds remains at the sole discretion of Legacy Bridge.

8. Third-Party Costs

Fees paid to third parties (e.g., designers, editors, legal consultants, printers, distribution partners) are non-refundable, as they are governed by the policies of those providers.

9. No Outcome-Based Refunds

Refunds are not issued based on:

  • Book sales performance
  • Market reception
  • Personal expectations
  • Timeline preferences
  • Changes in the client’s personal or business circumstances

Publishing and intellectual work involve variables beyond our control.

10. Agreement Supremacy

If a signed agreement includes specific refund terms, that agreement overrides this general policy.
