Most people write books just because they want to speak or share their opinions. From Security to Significance came about instead because the people closest to the author wouldn’t let him keep pushing back about sharing his story.
What began as reluctance became a calling when his daughters insisted that his story would strengthen those coming behind him. And so, after fifty years of work and ministry, Noel Abdullahi finally agreed it was time to document what his experiences actually taught him about faith and leadership, and doing meaningful work that outlasts comfort.

About The Author
Unekwu Noel Abdullahi is the founder of Disc Consult, where he oversees the building of practical Gen AI solutions for mid-sized companies across different verticals. With over two decades of expertise, Noel has harnessed insights from extensive datasets as an adept geoscientist, Stress Modeler, and accomplished Operations Geologist at Chevron Corporation.
Previously, he worked at DSNai, leading DSN’s SpotOn team to a top 100 finish out of over 1000 participants in the prestigious Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2021.
Noel also developed machine learning resources for the oil and gas industry whilst at DSNai.
During his 15+ years at Chevron, Noel received the prestigious Reservoir Management Excellence Award along with his peers for reducing Geologic Non-Productive time by 67%, resulting in $24M in cost savings in the 2016 project Cheetah drilling program. As an independent AI expert, he led teams to build successful AI POCs in Oil and Gas, Sales, Surveillance, and Contract Management.
Noel is also the founder of Navigating with Noel, an NGO focused on empowering youth and young adults through capacity-building initiatives and is a member of several networks locally and internationally.
He lives in Plano Texas with his wife Lucy where they both serve at the Dominion Life Apostolic church as life team leaders. They are blessed with 3 children.
